Оn the forum held on 26th and 27th of November in Zagreb , two OEM’S representatives and regular members of Joint Consultative Committee have participated.  The Euro commissioner Štefan Füle, who opened the forum and said that support is being needed for the EU negotiations with Macedonia, has concluded that this will speed up the reform processes in the country and it will strengthen the  interethnic relations.

It should be pointed out that the entrance of the country in EU will be realized. We firmly believe that by improving the pre-assessment process it will keep the reforms pace. The country is well-prepared , but negotiations are needed in order to be more committed and engaged about essential issues like governing anticorruption and fight against organized crime.

There were 150 participants on the forum, among which representatives from the social partners ( employers and trade unions ) and civil society representatives . Important topics have been discussed such as : EU-Western Balkans relations and the reform progress in the region; the need to protect of expression and freedom of the media; the involvement of civil society organizations in enlargement process and rural development and employment

The final version of the declaration, adopted by the European Economic and Social Committee members will be published regarding the Committee approval.
