The Employers and Trade Unions from the tobacco industry have determined the lowest basic wage on a branch level
Last year, the negotiations for a lowest basic wage determination on a branch level of the working groups of the tobacco industry association in the OEM and Agro-Trade Union were extremely exhaustive and intensive. However, the result is positive for the both negotiating parties. In compliance with the expenses, the economic opportunities, the general level of average sectorial wage, labour capacity, thriftiness, cost-effectiveness and other economic and social elements, an amount of 10.300,00 mkd denars for lowest basic wage on a branch level for monthly full time, has been determined.
On the 23th of May 2012 the presidents of the representative associations : Lidija Grupcheva – Tobacco industry association of OEM and Zhivko Danevski – Agro Trade Union, have signed an agreement for amendment and addition of the collective agreement for employees of the tobacco industry.
In compliance with the Law on Minimal wage , the minimal wage for 2012 on a national level in nominal value is 8.050 mkd denars.
In accordance with the Law on Minimal wage , the minimal wage has been determined on amount of 39% from the average wage paid in the previous year.
