Skopje, 03.03.2017 – Rule of law and elimination of bribery and corruption, quality regulations in whose preparation will actively participate and the business community, the elimination of unfair competition and equalizing conditions for the companies’ operations, increase opportunities for access to financial services equal treatment of domestic entrepreneurs and foreign investors.
These are some of the key recommendations and proposed measures to domestic businessmen and employers contained in the five policy proposals to improve the business climate in our country, in whose preparation was actively involved Organization of Employers of Macedonia (OEM) as one of the activities within the project “Promoting social dialogue”, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Labour Organisation.
The formulation of these measures and policy proposals worked a long time, patiently listening to the needs of those who invest in business development and create stable jobs in the country. I can confirm that these policy proposals will be the basis for future action and dialogue with the social partners will initiate the organization of employers in order to promote the country’s business climate and increasing the competitiveness of domestic companies – said the president of OEM Angel Dimitrov at today’s presentation of the draft measures to the social partners. Macedonia does not mean that just printed new laws will improve the business climate, but with better implementation of the legislation – said Dimitrov citing in particular the Law on security and safety which is good but not giving them the effects and changes in law violations.

The draft policy also contains measures relating to SMEs, to encourage not only foreign but also domestic companies, to encourage youth entrepreneurship, presented in presentations employers States of OEM and order policies enabling legal environment -D. Tome Petkovski stressed that should be considered seriously proposed measures that will contribute to economic development. He referred to the unfair competition of its formalization, and equalization of foreign and domestic investors.
“The package of policy proposals contain a number of measures grouped into five important areas that have a major impact on business development, such as rule of law, fair competition, access to finance, legal certainty and entrepreneurial culture. The formulation of these measures and policy proposals worked longer period poeriod, patiently listening to the needs of those who invest in business development and create stable jobs in the country. Among the presented measures contained in the new draft policies are those related to: increasing the transparency and control of public procurement, strengthen quality inspection, avoiding the often changing regulations and reduce the administrative burden for its implementation, revision of mandatory cost of doing business, increase opportunities for access to domestic companies to the EU – funds develop new financial products and services, as well as measures to provide effective support to newly created businesses, lean their preregulacija and limitation.
The presented draft policies contain few specific initiatives, such as the one for the preparation and adoption of a new labor law that will be aimed at promoting cooperation between workers and employers, as well as effective control of the application of the regulation and inspection .
