On July 28, 2015, Tuesday, signs an agreement to establish local Economic and Social Council (LESC) in Resen, the consultative advisory function, will review issues and give opinions, suggestions and recommendations to the Municipal Council and other bodies on specific issues the economic and social sphere. Signatories to the agreement were the Mayor of Resen Mr. Djoko Strezovski, president of the Organization of Employers of Macedonia, Mr. Angel Dimitrov and other social partners .The LESC Resen also are consist of representatives from the Employment Centre in Resen, a secondary school in Resen, as well as non-governmental organizations and civic associations.

Within the project for the promotion of social dialogue, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) is established and the local Economic and Social Council in the municipality of Resen by the representative and other social partners.

The ultimate goal of the project is to improve the tripartite and bipartite social dialogue as a way to achieve economic development and social progress.

The project has a holistic approach and aims to provide technical support to the institutions and participants in the process of social dialogue through three interrelated components:
1. Strengthening of social dialogue at national and local level;
2. Promotion of collective bargaining and establishing infrastructure for collective bargaining at the sector level;
3.Establishing an operational system for peaceful settlement of labor disputes.
