On the 8th and 9th of November 2018, in Hotel Gardena in Veles, the second advanced training on the topic “Making an export marketing plan for your company – a practical workshop” was successfully implemented. The training was organized within the two-year project “Export accelerator for small and medium enterprises”, financed by the EU, implemented by the Organization of Employers of Macedonia (OEM) and the Institute SFERA-NOVA. The project aims to raise the competitiveness of companies by strengthening their exporting capacities.
In the interactive and practical discussion participated approximately 20 representatives from small and medium companies from the conditory and canning industry, registered on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia. Experts in the field of export strategies, transport, logistics, with their many years of experience have presented to the participants to discuss the topics of preparation of the export offer readiness, pricing and distribution strategy, Push-Pull Strategy, factoring as an opportunity for financing of small and medium enterprises, promotional strategy and promotional mix, fair presentation and follow up, market research for international marketing and export, development of export strategy, financing of exports, as well as analysis of the situation of the markets in Sweden and Bulgaria and export opportunities, and more.
The EU-funded project “Export Accelerator for Small and Medium Enterprises” focuses on the export of the food processing industry, raising the export capacity and opening new export opportunities. The project produces Business Analyzes on export opportunities on regional markets for the food processing industry, training for export of companies and on technical readiness, new skills and knowledge for export, interactive web platform for export and mobile application, demo small projects for export of selected products from the food processing industry. The project has an innovative approach and will be expected to strengthen export support for specific products, thus providing direct benefits for the companies involved.
