We are proud to share that representatives of the Organization of Employers of Macedonia (ORM) took part in the Peer-Learning Event for Just Transition Practitioners, held from 1 to 3 October 2025 in Budapest, organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
This regional gathering brought together representatives of governments, employers, workers, and experts to exchange experiences and advance policy tools for achieving a just transition — ensuring that environmental sustainability, economic growth, and decent work progress hand in hand. 🌍
As emphasized by the ILO in its event communications, this peer-learning forum served as a space for sharing practical lessons, strengthening capacities, and building consensus on how to embed social justice into climate action and transition plans.
During the event, ORM’s delegates contributed by:
• Presenting insights from North Macedonia’s efforts toward green transformation
• Engaging in dialogue on how employers’ perspectives can influence transition policymaking
• Exchanging experiences and best practices with international experts on integrating social dialogue, fair employment transitions, and equitable reskilling policies
A productive discussion also took place on the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in the region and the essential role of social partners in supporting and implementing these processes. We express our sincere gratitude to the ILO for organizing this event and to all participants for the dynamic exchange.
ORM remains committed to transforming the knowledge, partnerships, and energy gained from this workshop into concrete steps toward North Macedonia’s sustainable development.
