On the occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, an event dedicated to the psychosocial aspects of work, stress, and workers’ mental health was held on 28 April 2026 at Hotel Aleksandar Palace in Skopje.
The event was organized within the framework of the project “Towards a Safe and Healthy Working Environment in North Macedonia,” implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) with financial support from the European Union.
In her address, the President of the Organization of Employers of Macedonia, Vladanka Trajkoska, emphasized that mental health is no longer a choice but a necessity, highlighting that a healthy psychosocial work environment is key to productivity, motivation, and the well-being of employees.
She underlined that creating such work environments requires a systemic approach—from raising awareness to implementing concrete measures, including stress prevention, employee support, and building an organizational culture in which mental health is a priority.
The Organization of Employers of Macedonia remains committed to promoting safe, healthy, and supportive working environments—because a healthy worker means a successful company and a stable economy.
The event was also attended by ORM’s member of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, Kire Icev, and Tamara Panchevski from the Executive Office of ORM.
