Macedonian Qualifications Framework tool for communication between employers and educational system
On December 24, with the support of the British Council in Macedonia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, employers from 12 sector associations within the Оrganization of employers of Macedonia, held a training to highlight the important and indispensable part of employers in the process of creating the Macedonian Qualifications Framework(MQF).

The adoption of the Macedonian Qualifications Framework is an important segment in the process of reforms undertaken by the Republic of Macedonia in the educational system to become comparable to the European system of values, which will allow greater mobility in the field of education and in the field of labor market .
Macedonian Qualifications Framework is an instrument that allows classification, comparison, development and understanding of qualifications. It covers all levels of qualifications that can be acquired through all types of education and training (formal and non-formal education) and provides a clear overview of how the acquisition of qualifications in order to meet the needs of the labor market and society, support lifelong learning and to facilitate the mobility of those who want to learn and those seeking work.
With the revival of the Macedonian Qualifications Framework will allow easy recognition of the previous and the new one qualifications by employers in the country and abroad, and it will provide greater employability in the labor market.
The frame has eight levels and sublevels 6 (5 to 7 levels) and descriptions for each level. The descriptions are determined by level of complexity of the knowledge, skills and competencies. Descriptions of qualifications based on learning outcomes and present a set of certified and documented learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competencies) in accordance with certain standards, regardless of where they were acquired.
But how the Macedonian Qualifications Framework become alive ?
Only with the involvement of employers in the process of MQF. Therefore we say that it is also a tool for communication between users interested sides of it (institutions, students, students, teachers, employers, training providers, policy makers, Sectors of Employers organization, employers, etc.). However, an important contribution is systematic involvement of employers in the educational process we thus increase the relevance of all types of qualifications to the needs of businesses and the labor market as a whole.
It is important to note that the role of employers starting with the job description in their organization that they make to the preparation of standards for occupations through participation in working groups to develop new skills to participate as members of the sectoral committees and the adoption of qualifications participation in the highest body of MQF
, as members of the National Board of MQF.
But we do not stop here .Our further action would be to approach and meet employers from all sectors with their role in the MQF and the possibility to prepare vocational standards for their needs, so we can educate personnel under real need in the market labor and to be required by the industry, and it will be easier and provide them employment.
