Organization of Employers of Macedonia (OEM) and the Federation of Trade Unions (FTU) of Macedonia, on August 9th signed an agreement to amend the General Collective Agreement (GCA) for the private sector of the economy which in the event of a disaster the number of paid leave days increased from three to seven days .
Because of the urgency of the situation and declared a state of emergency in parts of Skopje after a brief consultation, employers of OEM built attitude and reached a compromise with the social partner FTU. The agreement is a possibility the number of paid leave days to be further increased in the event of a declaration of emergency or crisis situations due to natural disasters or other type.
This amendment to the General Collective Agreement has been reached taking into account the consequences of the natural disaster that hit Macedonia on Saturday.
